Libby Flores MFA '14 has had her work appear in One Story MagazineThe Kenyon ReviewAmerican Short Fiction, Ploughshares, McSweeney’s, Tin House, The Guardian, and The Los Angeles Review of Books. She is the Associate Publisher at BOMB magazine.

Biography

Flores was chosen as one of eight writers in the United States to receive the PEN Emerging Voices Fellowship in 2008. She has taught creative writing workshops for the Sackett Writing Workshop, Tin House Online, One Story, and PEN. Flores was selected as a semi-finalist in the American Short Fiction Short(er) Contest, judged by Stuart Dybek. In 2017, she was selected as Bennington Writing Seminar's first Fiction Fellow. She is the former Director of Literary Programs at PEN Center USA. In 2018 she directed the second annual Believer FestivalShe's currently the Associate Publisher at BOMB magazine. She is on the board of Housing Works Bookstore, the LitNet Steering Committee, and the Periplus committee, where she is a mentor. Flores holds an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College. She lives in Brooklyn, but will always be a Texan. Flores is a visiting faculty member at Bennington for Spring 2024.
