Thom Kitt

Thom Kitt (they/them) is a multidisciplinary dance artist.
Biography
Kitt is a non-binary, multidisciplinary artist working across video production, audio engineering, and dance, with a core focus on movement. Their work explores themes of rebellion and transformation by way of Hip-hop-based movement paired with elements of Vogue Fem. Through innovative video compositing techniques and the spectacle of performance, Kitt creates immersive visuals blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. These hybrid landscapes invite viewers to interrogate and disrupt harmful ideologies–particularly those rooted in white supremacy, patriarchy, and cisheteronormativity.
Kitt encourages collaborative learning environments that center equity and amplify the voices of marginalized storytellers. They currently provide movement and creative direction for musicians–prioritizing Black, queer/trans artists. Kitt has previously collaborated with notable companies including Reese’s, Adidas, GAP, and Spotify. They earned their BFA from the University of the Arts.
Kitt is a visiting faculty member in the BFA Dance Lab at Bennington in Fall 2025.
