BROADCAST ONLINE—Italian-American Food Culture: From Settler Colonialism to Regenerative Food Systems

Woman in yellow coat in front of blurred background Cultural Studies and Language Series—Spring 2020
CAPA Symposium

BROADCAST ONLINE In this talk, Tatiana will reflect on her own history as the great-granddaughter of Italian immigrants, weaving her personal reflections and food memories with the larger historical and socio-political contexts that tell the story of the mass migration of Italians to the United States at the turn of the 20th century. She will draw on this weaving of personal and socio-political history to consider the question of, how do we create a land-based, regenerative food system here in the United States?
