OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Please join the Bennington College Rebetiko Ensemble as we transform the Deane Carriage Barn into a Greek taverna for a night of live music, dancing, and light Mediterranean snacks! Rebetiko is a form of Greek urban music from the early 20th century. Often called the Greek blues, Rebetiko’s songs are about love, migration, despair, jail, death, hashish and hard drugs, loving the wrong person, social injustice, current events, the Aegean and its waters, fishing, daily life, and much more. Come for a night of thrilling music by this stellar ensemble!
