Dance@Bennington presents: Kyoko Kitamura: Quiet Ambassador Performances

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | This Thursday at Dance Workshop, the collaborative collective Quiet Ambassador (Dance Faculty Levi Gonzaléz, Former Music Faculty Kyoko Kitamura, Rachel Bernsen) will share their performance practice and lead students through a participatory workshop integrating voice and movement.

Quiet Ambassador is a sound and movement collective with dance artist Rachel Bernsen, dance artist Levi Gonzalez, and composer and vocalist Kyoko Kitamura. Together we engage the synchrony and dyssynchrony of movement and sound as an integrated whole. As a trio, we prioritize listening, sonic and spatial connection, and mutual inspiration. We conjure both naturalistic and constructed environments as expressions of compositional ideas, reorienting our senses and the senses of the audience to imagined landscapes shaped by vibration, speech, and movement invention.
