Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join President Egan and Noreen and Bill Heavlin at the dedication of The Chairs of Collaboration, a new artistic installation for all to enjoy in memory of Parry Haakon Heavlin ’17, and in recognition of the 50th anniversary of VAPA. Reception to follow.
In collaboration with Fuller Cowles ’84, Parry helped restore this pair of life sized chairs and ottomans, crafted from molded concrete overlaid with colorful granite mosaic. They have been brought to Bennington by Parry’s family to create a unique space for contemplation and conversation. Parry passed away peacefully in May 2026. His obituary can be found here.
