OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Michael Parisio, the Forest Health Specialists for Southern Vermont will be presenting this workshop on the emerald ash borer (EAB) in Vermont. EAB was discovered in Vermont in 2018 and poses a serious threat to Vermont's ash trees. Bennington is within the high risk area as the latest confirmed EAB location was in Stamford, Vermont. This presentation will provide an overview of the basic biology of EAB, its history in North America, information on Vermont's response to managing the pest, and an overview of some basic management strategies that can be incorporated in EAB response plans.
