The F Word uses drag and feminism as lenses for each other to take her audience on a journey through the wryly funny to the surprisingly poignant. Through personal anecdote, song, dance, drag lip-sync and simple stage magic Fauxnique celebrates and pokes fun at feminism. She engages the comic mode and liberatory space of the drag/cabaret form to dig into serious topics: intersectionality, difference, equity, body image and personal evolution. She uses her unique perspective as a cisgender woman and a drag queen, to mine truths about the state of feminism past and present. The content of the show itself evolves with the times, taking into consideration the feminist issues of the moment, using its elastic form to accommodate the ever-changing contours of contemporary life.
