OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Johannes Göransson is the author of nine books, including the poetry collection Summer (Tarpaulin Sky, 2022). the memoir Poetry Against All: A Diary, and the essay collection Transgressive Circulation: Essays On Translation (Noemi, 2018). His translations include Eva Kristina Olsson’s The Angelgreen Sacrament (Black Square Editions, 2021) and Helena Boberg’s Sense Violence (Black Ocean, 2020), as well as work by Swedish poet Aase Berg and Korean poet Kim Yideum. Born in Skåne, Sweden, he is an associate professor at the University of Notre Dame and, coeditor of Action Books.

Genya Turovskaya was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. She is the author of the poetry collection The Breathing Body of This Thought (Black Square Editions, 2019) and numerous chapbooks. She is the translator of Aleksandr Skidan's Red Shifting and Elena Fanailova's The Russian Version (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2009), which won the University of Rochester’s 2010 Three Percent Award for the Best Translated Book of Poetry. She also cotranslated Arkadii Dragomoshchenko's Endarkenment: Selected Poems (Wesleyan, 2014). The recipient of a Whiting Writers’ Award, she lives in New York City and works as a psychotherapist.
