OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Join poet Layli Long Soldier for a master class entitled: "Work to Nurture".

Layli Long Soldier is the author of the poetry collection Whereas (Graywolf, 2017), which won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the PEN/Jean Stein Book Award, and was a finalist for the Griffin Poetry Prize and the National Book Award. Her poems have appeared in The New York Times, BOMB, and Poetry magazine. In 2012, her participatory installation, Whereas We Respond, was featured on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. She is the recipient of a National Artist Fellowship from the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation, a Lannan Literary Fellowship, and a Whiting Writer’s Award. She is a citizen of the Oglala Lakota Nation and lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
