OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | The conversation surrounding issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Drama at Bennington Community has been happening for years. The Drama faculty recently made a commitment to ‘make Drama at Bennington College Equitable, Diverse, Inclusive, and Anti-Racist.’ As a first step in the creation of a Drama at Bennington Anti-Racist Plan, Kaja Dunn will lead students and faculty in a series of workshops on race and theatre pedagogy.

Kaja will lead a student workshop and a faculty workshop separately, which will establish a common understanding of terms and issues within the discipline and will provide the opportunity for student experiences to be anonymously shared with the faculty. This inclusive workshop is an opportunity for students to collaborate in the process of creating an Anti-Racist Action Plan for the Drama discipline. While this is a theatre specific event, anyone with an interest in the Drama at Bennington community is encouraged to come.

To attend the Zoom workshop, we ask that you RSVP in advance, as there is a limited number of participants able to attend. If you are interested in attending but are unable to attend at this time, please feel free to submit your questions or experiences anonymously through this form. If you have already RSVP’d and find that you are no longer able to attend, we ask that you email Jenny Rohn.
