Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind: 30 Neo-Futurist Plays in 60 Minutes was the longest running show in the history of Chicago theater, starting in 1988, ending in 2016, and being revived on Zoom in 2020. As the name suggests, the show is an exciting ensemble experiment in presenting 30 short plays performed in 60 minutes. Each play in between 30 seconds and 3 minutes long with a cast of 0-5 actors per play.

The plays tend to be a mixture of autobiography, performance art, and living newspaper, often taking on a comedic or satirical tone. Many of the plays contain elements of randomness, play, and audience interaction. At the top of the show, audience members are given a "menu" of the play titles for that evening so the audience members may choose the order of the plays by calling out their number. Written by Greg Allen Directed by Hazel Peters.
