Wild Tastes of Spring: Wildcrafting Workshop with Nova Kim and Les Hook

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Please join us for a free public walk and workshop on the grounds of the Robert Frost Stone House Museum with Nova Kim and Les Hook, internationally renowned Vermont wildcrafters and co-founders of the Wild Food Gatherers Guild.

Les and Nova have over 80 years combined experience hunting the woods and fields of Vermont for wild foods and medicines. They have taught at Vermont Tech-Randolph, NECIMontpelier, and for ten years at Green Mountain College-Poultney, and gather food for several of Vermont’s high end restaurants.

Their focus has always been to teach the practice and respect drawn from their eighty years experience of working with the forest resources of the Northeast, South and Rocky Mountains. They have been featured in numerous books and articles including the NY Times Magazine, NY Times, New York Magazine, Village Voice, Green Living Journal, Yankee, Vermont Life and others. They have also been featured guests on programs as diverse as VPR's Vermont Edition, APM’s Splendid Table, NPR's The Weekend Edition Saturday, PBS's Making Friends with Ryan Miller and numerous other private productions.

Bennington College Guest COVID Vaccination Protocol
Bennington College requires that all guests be vaccinated and have the appropriate vaccine booster. To enter into a building on campus, guests are asked to complete a visitor form—ideally 24 hours before their arrival. Visitors who have not completed this form will be asked to show their vaccination card before entering any campus buildings. Masking indoors is required in any shared spaces.
