Malik was named one of the Top 10 Filmmakers to Watch by The Independent in 2018, and was featured on Forbes’ 30-Under-30 in Marketing & Advertising. In 2021, he collaborated with protest art collective, Pussy Riot, to create a music video for their single, “Panic Attack,” which he sold at auction inside of four limited-edition Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
