Best Books of the New Year
Book Riot reported on the "101 books coming out in 2019 that you should mark down." The list included books by authors Jaime Quatro MFA '09 and Morgan Jerkins MFA '16.
Quatro and Jerkins were highlighted for their books, Fire Sermon (coming out January 9) and This Will Be My Undoing: Living at the Intersection of Black, Female, and Feminist in (White) America (coming out January 30), respectively.
They also called Jerkins "one of the smartest young writers of her generation" and went on to praise her book as "an insightful, revelatory collection of personal essays about a variety of today’s important issues. So fantastic."
