Bogdan Awarded Fourth Fulbright
Music faculty member Tom Bogdan was awarded his fourth Fulbright Grant to teach American composer Meredith Monk's A Celebration Service to musicians and dancers abroad.
Bogdan, a long-time member of Monk's vocal ensemble, spent the winter teaching at the Kattaikkuttu Sangam in Southern India. One of the few people in the world who has taught Monk's spiritually inspired piece, Bogdan also teaches it as a performance course at Bennington. He has previously received three Fulbright grants to teach the piece in Budapest, Sao Paolo and Manila.
