"The Most Outstanding"
Lynn Emanuel '72 has been awarded the 2016 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize for her new book The Nerve of It.
The Lenore Marshall Prize awarded by the Academy for American Poetry, and is given to "the most outstanding book of poetry published in the United States" in the last year. It was established in 1975. Past winners include current Writer in Residence for the Bennington MFA in Writing Program, (and former Poet-Laureate) Donald Hall.
Award-winning American poet Martha Collins called Emanuel's work "stunning and seamless."
