Avant Improv Ensemble

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Bennington’s Avant Improv Ensemble (AIE), led by Michael Wimberly, will perform in the DownCaf on Wednesday, May 23 at 10:30 pm. AIE explores spontaneous improvisation through the compositions of Ornette Coleman and Charles Mingus, as well as their own compositions built from the idioms of blues, jazz, and funk.
