Experimental Music Group performs "Femenine"

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | The Bennington College Experimental Music Group will perform Julius Eastman’s hypnotic 1974 work Femenine in the Deane Carriage Barn. Unfolding over 73 minutes, Femenine creates a lush, improvisatory texture that envelops the audience in cascading waves of strings, winds, and percussion. An omnivorous and imaginative musician, Julius Eastman (1940-1990) is today recognized as a pivotal figure in the development of minimalism and the New York downtown music scene.
