Biography

Romero is a Los Angeles based interdisciplinary artist who was born in San Diego, California. He received his BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts in 2015. Romero is a choreographer, educator, movement artist, and performer. He has worked with a range of dance companies, celebrities, brands, actors, musicians, and public figures through commercial, concert, and performative dance. Years of movement research has landed Romero on a foundation of experience that is eager for integration, elevation, and pathways to healing through moving the body with awareness.

While concert dance has been the vehicle driving his passion for movement, Romero arrived in the underground ballroom scene in 2015 which activated a core awakening through a form of movement called Vogue. He currently explores how the agreements between Vogue and contemporary forms can bring forth prolific innovation, release, and healing in the body. The practice of deepening his relationship to these forms separately have created space for a conversation between them to exist simultaneously. Romero allows the modalities to speak truthfully while directing them through a synchronistic and harmonious process. He plans to continue creating space for others to learn, witness, and experience the gift of movement through a unique and emerging perspective.

Romero is a visiting faculty member in the BFA Dance Lab at Bennington for Spring 2026.
