OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | The Robert Frost Stone House Museum and GANAS at Bennington College are hosting a viewing of La Liga in the barn at the Robert Frost Stone House Museum, along with a Q&A with Director Mac Christopher after the film. The viewing is free, but donations to Migrant Justice are encouraged. The film runs about 25 minutes.

La Liga is a documentary film that focuses on immigrant dairy farmers in Vermont who, in the face of tremendous isolation, formed a pickup soccer league. It is about finding a sense of home in a new land, and of people coming together to use a national pastime to create a better future. The film tells the story of the minimum-wage earning population that is keeping dairy farming alive in Vermont, and follows farm workers as they attempt to find a path forward despite the pressures of work and ICE.

But above all, the film is a story of migrational hope. These individuals came to Vermont with little more than the promise of a picture, and despite the overwhelming pressures they face, they continue to build and fight toward a better future for their community.

GANAS is a Bennington College student-run organization focused on community engagement. It offers services to the Latin American community in the Bennington region. GANAS services include English classes, Spanish classes, interpretation services, social events, and more. In addition, GANAS provides support to groups outside of Bennington College, such as Migrant Justice, the Berkshire Immigrant Center, Sunrise, and Neighborhood Connections.
