OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND LIVE STREAMING | Claressinka Anderson MFA '22, Jayson Greene MFA '21, and Liesl Schwabe MFA '05 will read from their recent books as part of the Writers Reading series.
Claressinka Anderson MFA '22 is a Los Angeles–based poet, writer, and librettist. Winner of the Michelle Boisseau Poetry Prize, a finalist for the Oxford Poetry Prize and Leonard Cohen Poetry Prize, her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in publications including Best New Poets, Poetry London, Oxford Poetry, Los Angeles Review of Books, North American Review, as well as in the anthology Choice Words: Writers on Abortion. She serves as a poetry and art editor at Bear Review.
Jayson Greene MFA '21 is the author of the memoir Once More We Saw Stars (Knopf, 2019) and the novel UnWorld (Knopf, 2025). He's a contributing writer and former senior editor at Pitchfork, and his writing has appeared in the Washington Post, The New York Times, Vulture, and GQ, among other places. His criticism has been nominated for a National Magazine Award and has won an LA Press Club Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award. He lives in Brooklyn.
Liesl Schwabe MFA '05 is a writer, educator, and two-time Fulbright-Nehru Scholar. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Words Without Borders, LitHub, World Literature Today, and elsewhere. Currently a Scholar Associate at the Institute for Language Studies and Research in Kolkata and the recipient of a 2026 Mass Cultural Council grant for creative individuals, Liesl is Assistant Professor of English at Berkshire Community College.
