Alvarez to Direct Love, Theoretically Adaptation for Amazon MGM Studios
Sofia Alvarez '07 will direct, adapt the screenplay, and co-executive produce the adaptation of Ali Hazelwood's bestselling novel Love, Theoretically for Amazon MGM Studios.

"Amazon MGM Studios has landed film rights to New York Times bestselling author Ali Hazelwood’s novel Love, Theoretically.
"It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover will produce with her Heartbones Entertainment partner Lauren Levine alongside Max Siemers and Tanner Anderson for Magic Hour Entertainment.
"Along for the Ride filmmaker Sofia Alvarez is directing the romantic comedy and will adapt the screenplay. She’ll also EP with Hazelwood.
"The Berkley-published Love, Theoretically follows rival physicists who collide in a vortex of academic feuds and false identities. The project reps a reunion for Siemers and Alvarez after the pair collaborated on the first two films in the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy."
