OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Join us for an architectural walking tour of the Robert Frost Stone House, led by local architect Jane Griswold Radocchia, who has spent more than 40 years helping homeowners restore, repair, renovate, and expand historic homes.

Radocchia earned her BA from Oberlin College and her M.Arch. from MIT. Her work is grounded in a particular interest in vernacular architecture—how buildings evolve in response to their climate and make use of the tools and materials on hand.

She became an architectural historian somewhat by accident, discovering that she was often showing and describing to friends and clients the historic environments in which they lived—places they would see daily, but without necessarily noticing. For over ten years, she also wrote a weekly column for the Lawrence, MA, Eagle-Tribune, called "Sunday Drives." (Coincidentally, Lawrence, MA, is the town where Frost attended high school). In 1994, her column received a Massachusetts Historic Preservation Award.

Join us for an engaging exploration of the Robert Frost Stone House Museum and the architectural history that surrounds it, guided by Radocchia’s decades of experience and keen eye for the stories embedded in old buildings.
