Bennington Community Dye Day

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Community Dye Day will give the Bennington community an opportunity to learn about and experience firsthand the practice and beauty of dyeing natural fibers with botanicals.  

Attendees will learn from educational displays and demonstrations, enjoy locally prepared food, and participate in hands-on dyeing activities at the Purple Carrot Farm. All will be welcome to wander through the garden at its peak of harvest and observe the full life cycle of natural dyeing: growing flowers from seed in the campus garden to harvesting, preparing the dye pots, preparing fiber for dyeing, and the dyeing process itself.
