Bronwyn Maloney '13 is an artist and animator based in New York. Her work uses hand-drawn techniques in digital programs, and sound, to create films about sensual experience.


Biography

A graduate of Bennington College, Maloney continue her education at CalArts (MFA, Experimental Animation) and has taught sound design for animation at CalArts and Pratt Institute.

Maloney's animated short Serpentine (2016) played film festivals across the US and Europe, including Slamdance, Anifilm, GLAS, LA Film Festival, and New Orleans Film Festival, where it received the Helen Hill Animation Award in 2018. Her forthcoming film, Re Shannon (2024), is supported by the GLAS Animation Grant, Rooftop Films, and the Adrienne Shelly Foundation. Maloney was a visiting faculty member at Bennington for Fall 2023.
