Curtis Wells turned a degree in engineering into an expertise for fixing electronics and optimizing audio gear—skills he puts to good use in his support of faculty and student work in music.
While getting his degree, Wells worked at the student radio station, played in bands and learned all about Audio electronics. Post-college, he turned this into a career, touring the planet and recording with artists like The Feelies, Vampire Weekend, Southern Culture on the Skids, Band of Horses, Josh Ritter, and many others. Since moving to the Berkshires in 2010, he has been an Audio Technician for Mass MoCA, Williamstown Theater Festival, and at Tanglewood. Wells was the Technical Instructor in Sound and Music at Bennington from Spring 2016-Spring 2021, and returned Fall 2022.
