Emma Kast’s work focuses on the history of political economic thought. Her recent research locates notions of deservingness in theories of capitalism.
Kast studies the global political economy of capitalism and imperialism. Before joining Bennington College as a visiting faculty member, she lived in Wales, UK while working toward her doctorate in International Politics at Aberystwyth University. She holds an MA in International Politics from Aberystwyth University, and a BA in Politics from Ithaca College. Her recent research locates notions of deservingness in the history of political economic thought. Kast is a visiting faculty member at Bennington for the 2021-2022 academic year.
