Farnoosh Fathi
Farnoosh Fathi is the author of the poetry collections Great Guns (Canarium 2013) and Granny Cloud (NYRB Poets 2024).
Biography
Fathi is the author of the poetry collections Great Guns (Canarium 2013) and Granny Cloud (NYRB Poets 2024) and the chapbook For Example (Elfing It) (Belladonna* Collaborative 2025), editor of Joan Murray: Drafts, Fragments, and Poems (NYRB Poets 2018), and founder of the Young Artists Language and Devotion Alliance (YALDA). She is also a recipient of a Fulbright, a Ruth Lilly Fellowship, and residencies from MacDowell and Yaddo.
Fathi has taught at Barnard College, MFA programs at Columbia University and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, as well as at Stanford Online High School, The St. Mark's Poetry Project and Poets House. She was a visiting faculty member at Bennington for Spring 2025 and returns for Fall 2026 to teach in both the BA and BFA in Creative Writing programs.
