Maxwell Levis is a mental health researcher focused on advancing personalized suicide prediction and prevention mechanisms. His work leverages critical theory, psychodynamic perspectives, and big-data resources to inform psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational interventions.


Biography

Levis is a clinical mental health researcher whose work focuses on developing targeted suicide prediction and prevention mechanisms. His research uses big data and machine-learning methodologies to advance personalized mental health care. Levis leverages critical theory, psychodynamic perspectives, and big-data resources to inform psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational interventions. He is a graduate of Columbia and Harvard, and earned his Ph.D. from Boston University. Levis is a health scientist at VA White River Junction and an assistant professor at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine. He was a visiting faculty member at Bennington for Fall 2023.
