VALS: Sydney Acosta

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Sydney Acosta was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, also known as Yanaguana. Acosta is interested in what defies depiction, the history of representation in painting and photography, and the problems around subjectivity and witnessing. She received her M.F.A. from UCLA in 2021 and has also studied at San Antonio College, California State University, Sacramento, and Columbia University.
