OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Empty Bowls is an annual event organized by the Greater Bennington Interfaith Community Services organization and their partners to raise awareness of food insecurity in Bennington and raise funds for the Kitchen Cupboard, a local food bank in downtown Bennington. Empty Bowls 2016 will be on Sunday, November 13 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Mount Anthony Union Middle School. Tickets are $10 per person in advance or $12 per person at the door, or $25 per family and can be bought in advance at the Student Life Office. A ticket lets you pick from a large selection of bowls made and donated by community members and students who participated in The Social Kitchen course at Bennington College. After you pick your bowl, you can help yourself to soup in the MAUMS cafeteria and enjoy a meal with your Bennington neighbors. A designated Empty Bowls shuttle is available throughout the evening of the event.
