Plastics Litter Cleanup and Brand Audit with Bennington Rotary Club

OPEN TO PUBLIC | Join Bennington College's Leaders for Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability and the Bennington Rotary Club for our second plastics clean up and brand audit this autumn. We will be removing plastic litter from public areas around Northshire Drive and then will sort (at Bennington College) the plastics we find and will identify the brands we collected. We will then send our brand data to an international movement called Break Free From Plastics as part of an effort to hold corporations accountable for the pollution that they create through their single-use disposable products! This is also a strong opportunity for those engaged in the clean up to learn about what they can do to refuse single-use plastics, while learning about the negative effects of this kind of pollution. 

The clean up will begin at Walmart on Northshire Drive 11:45-2:30

Plastics sorting will occur outside the Student Center on campus from 3:00-6:00
