Staff Tour of Usdan Gallery

CAMPUS COMMUNITY ONLY | Tour the new Usdan Gallery exhibition with gallery director Anne Thompson. All Bennington staff are invited to this special viewing of the work of artist Allana Clarke, known for her inventive use of materials such as hair-bonding glue. 

Known for her inventive reflections on colonial histories and Western standards of beauty, Clarke spent several weeks on campus making a huge floor sculpture inside the Usdan Gallery. In addition to this important new work, the exhibition "Allana Clarke: A Particular Fantasy" includes a wall-hung hair-bonding glue sculpture and performance videos. The artist's first institutional solo show, "A Particular Fantasy" is a dynamic collaboration between Usdan Gallery and the architecture and sculpture park Art Omi, in Ghent, New York, with complementary installations across venues.
