OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Experience the deep, eclectic character of the Bennington College art collection! “Unpacking the Vault” features dozens of works by artists ranging from renowned modernists such as Agnes Martin to celebrated alums such as actress Holland Taylor.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Many artworks are on view for the first time in a show that marks its own significant “first” in being co-curated by students. A class in the fall researched works that launched the show; a separate class picked up the project in the spring, researching more works and expanding and otherwise transforming the original exhibition. For the duration of Unpacking the Vault, Usdan Gallery is a hybrid exhibition and teaching space, with literature and original documents on view allowing all visitors to “study” the collection.
