Sylvan Esso "Keeps Electronic Pop Human"
The New York Times profiled pop duo Sylvan Esso (Amelia Meath '10 and Nick Sanborn) upon the release of their sophomore album, What Now.
"The interface between humanity and technology — sometimes productive, sometimes antagonistic — matters a lot in Sylvan Esso’s songs, in both sound and lyrics" observed the interviewer.
“I try to write songs that people haven’t written before, and somehow someone hadn’t written that song in that way" Meath said of "Die Young," a popular single from the new album.
