Dr. Teresa Smith is Vice President for Finance and Administration, leading Bennington’s financial operations, facilities management and planning, human resources, information technology, conference services, and dining services. An accomplished financial leader, Teresa has more than 30 years experience in higher education at several colleges and universities and  has taught graduate and doctoral-level courses in higher education finance, accounting, and business. 

Teresa holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Clemson University, an MBA from Winthrop University, and a BS in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Lander University. Recognized for her collaborative leadership, strategic vision, financial expertise, and commitment to institutional mission and student success, Teresa has also served as a national presenter, consultant, and accreditation reviewer.
