OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Annual winter pruning of apple trees is a critically important part of maintaining tree health and productivity. In this workshop, we will learn the concepts behind how to prune apple trees, then practice in the orchard at Robert Frost Stone House Museum. This workshop will be led by University of Vermont Tree Fruit and Grape Specialist Dr. Terence Bradshaw. Terry has managed apple trees for over 25 years, as a UVM research assistant, commercial apple grower, sometime itinerant pruner, and now as Director of the UVM Horticulture Research and Education Center. Sponsored by the Robert Frost Stone House Museum and the Center for the Advancement of Public Action.
