Former Vermont State Senator, Brian Campion facilitates all programs and initiatives at Bennington connected to state and federal policy.

Biography

As the director of Public Policy Programs at CAPA, Campion facilitates all programs and initiatives connected to state and federal policy. He was elected to the Vermont State Senate from 2014-2025, after first serving two terms in the Vermont House of Representatives in 2010 and 2012. As State Senator, Campion served as the vice chair of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy and Senate Finance committee. He also served as chair of the Senate Committee on Education and was most recently appointed by Governor Phil Scott to the Vermont State Board of Education. Campion is a visiting faculty member at Bennington for the 2025-2026 academic year.
