Derek Parker is a mixed-media artist and fabricator with over 25 years of experience in art fabrication and digital making.
Biography
Parker's practice and teaching bridge traditional shop methods with contemporary tools, including 3D modeling, CNC, and additive manufacturing. He works with students to translate ideas into well-made objects through a clear process, iteration, and a deep understanding of materials. Parker joined Bennington as a Technical Instructor in Visual Arts in Spring 2023.
