Dietland Author Sarai Walker to Speak at June MFA CommencementSarai Walker MFA '03, author of the bestselling novel and critically-acclaimed AMC series Dietland, will be the Commencement speaker for the Bennington Writing Seminars in June 2019. Walker is a graduate of the fiction program and will deliver the Commencement address on Saturday, June 22 at 7:30 pm in Bennington’s Usdan Gallery.
Natalie Mislang Mann Receives Bennington/PEN America Emerging Voices ScholarshipThe Bennington Writing Seminars, in partnership with PEN America, has announced that Natalie Mislang Mann is the recipient of the $10,000 Bennington/PEN America Emerging Voices scholarship. She’ll begin her studies in June 2019, on the 25th Anniversary of the Bennington Writing Seminars' founding.
Jeanie Riess Selected as Bennington Writing Seminars Residential Teaching FellowJeanie Riess, a rising second-term MFA student in fiction, has been selected to be the third Residential Teaching Fellow at the Bennington Writing Seminars. The fellowship is the first of its kind in the country to offer full-time undergraduate teaching experience in a low-residency MFA format. Benefits include full tuition remission for one term, housing and board, and enrollment in an on-campus class.
