Group Tutorial: Updating “Trees and Shrubs of Bennington”

Course Description

Summary

• The purpose of this tutorial is to support the publication of an updated “Trees and Shrubs of Bennington” for the 50th anniversary of the original booklet. 
• Studying the plants and shrubs of the Bennington College campus by identifying and documenting them 
• Drawing detailed and accurate botanical illustrations of these plants from observation 
• Writing short descriptions of the plants to accompany the drawings and help non-botanists learn to identify plants
• Learning about plants on campus in the fall season and strengthening ability to recognize them through drawing and writing
• Strengthening technical drawing skills
• Working with Buildings and Grounds to install labels for the campus Arborteum
• Designing and Creating the booklet.
