Course System Home Terms Fall 2017 Digital Books

Course Description

Summary

This course investigates the rich history of great photography books from the 20th century, many of which we have in our own Crossett Library. Students will explore the photo-based artist book as a vehicle for self-expression.  A variety of international approaches to the photo book will be introduced through a mix of readings, presentations, assignments, and critiques.  Each student will create a digital book using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Blurb due at the end of the course. Registration: Interested students should email jkline@bennington.edu. Registration will begin on Wednesday, May 17 from 12:30pm - 2:00pm.

Prerequisites

Foundations of Photography and permission of the instructor.
