Writing
Bennington offers undergraduate and graduate writing degree programs, including a BA, BFA in Creative Writing, an MFA in Writing, and an MFA in Screenwriting.
At Bennington, writing is grounded in the belief that writers deepen their work through close reading, sustained practice, and the exchange of ideas.
In workshops and seminars led by practicing poets, novelists, essayists, dramatists, and screenwriters, students engage writing as both a disciplined craft and an imaginative, investigative process. Writing here is rigorous, exploratory, and deeply engaged with the world.
Students leave Bennington not only as stronger writers, but as sharper readers, thinkers, and communicators.
