BC Chamber Singers: Section Leader

Course Description

Summary

Select students who are enrolled in Bennington College Chamber Singers will be given the opportunity to be a section leader within their voice part. A section leader acts as the primary member for their section, leading with musical and logistical proficientcy. This experience expands the students musicality and helps gain teaching/leadership. Additionally, students will be prepared to practice conducting and leading outside rehearsals for their sections/other small groups to make sure the music is prepared, confident, and accurate. These students will also set the example of preparedness, attendance, and professionalism. Practicing these skills actively will serve the student well when pursuing musical pursuits beyond Bennington.
