Course Description

Summary

In summary, to improve on the organization and teaching of languages and cultures as a Bennington student while supporting peers and the greater community. Objectives include:
To develop effective lesson plans from theory to practice, and carry these out in teaching students at the VSNB/ECDC etc.
Continue the compilation and organization of resources to aid the language learning program in local schools/organizations
Overseeing the student teaching program: identifying Bennington students to teach locally, coordinating with organizations to get them into classrooms 
Offering support for student teachers both in and out of the tutorial, such as in office hours
Scheduling events on campus and connecting with other resources (like photography) to serve the languages and culture discipline, particularly in recruiting and connecting students between and across languages
Gain experience with teaching a language in the practical classroom: creating a curriculum, resolving conflicts, building relationships with students and teachers
Updating information on the website
