Course Description

Summary

This course is the second half of a Page to Stage design Process - focusing on “standing the design up” and getting it realised onstage.

Having completed the designing process students will begin to work through the fabrication and production stage into the realized live performance. Students will collaborate and  manage their designs being built and be ready to collaborate and evolve their design work with the performance work being done in the rehearsal room. We will focus on communication and how to collaborate to ensure the visual storytelling aligns and supports the work of the performance.

Students will need to have participated in the design and preproduction process in the previous spring term’s class.  This class will work collaboratively and with the costume, scenic and lighting shops to realise the design.

Students are expected to meet with the faculty for an additional two hours outside the posted class/day time. Days/times will be scheduled individually with the faculty.
