Course Description

Summary

In this course, students will work towards completing either one piece or the body of their work in sound practices. These projects can vary, including but are not limited to: sound compositions, music productions (mixes, recordings, and arrangement), e-music pieces, sound design for moving images or theater or video games VR, online performance ideas and setups, and radio and transmission art pieces. Emphasis will be on portfolio making, depth of approach to content, the refinement of the process, and in-class peer critical review. During this course, there will be exercises (individually or as a group) towards completion and advancing students’ projects. The class will be concluded with online and in-person presentation events, as conditions permit. Students interested in re-taking this course should contact the faculty.
