Course Description

Summary

In this experimental class, we will create space for you to pursue work within Mathematics. This course is intended for students at a variety of levels of experience, with a solid interest in following questions and curiosity, to lead to a deeper understanding. You will lead your work, in collaboration, and with the support of the class.

Topics explored in this course could include topics in math you thought were fun, and want to do more of; topics you have seen in math classes but never quite fully understood; topics that are beyond the scope of previous courses that you would love to learn; projects you have longed for space to accomplish; and whatever else captures your interest. This class is intended for all students levels of experience, from beginning in math up to seniors. As long as it is Mathematics, you can do it here. If you have an idea and don’t know if it might fit, please come talk to the instructor!
