Course Description

Summary

In this course, students will arrange 2 hours per week of instruction time individually or in groups with the instructor in order to gain the specific graphic skills necessary for the intermediate studio course. Students will have the opportunity to discuss problems, worksheets, and design assignments prior to studio. This portion of the course is asynchronous – materials will be provided to students and each student will be allowed to respond to or work through the material at their own pace. All students are expected to complete modules 1-7 while additional modules will be provided for students who are interested in taking their digital modeling skills further. This course is a required co-requisite for students enrolled in Intermediate Design Studio: Manual and Digital Representation.

Learning Outcomes

  • - Adequate proficiency in Rhino 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign required for work in most professional settings
